We are a long way from the heady days of the Celtic Tiger, when Irish property investors flocked to exotic locations all over Europe and further afield to add to their burgeoning property portfolios. Unsurprisingly, the UK has been by far the favourite location for such investment, given the history, proximity and close socio-economic ties between the UK and Ireland, the rule of law and a similar legal system.
