Rishi Sunak has had an eventful start as UK Chancellor of the Exchequer. He delivered his first UK Budget on 11 March, in which he announced a range of measures intended to counter the effects of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic with a three-point plan to provide support for public services, individuals and businesses. Since then, the Covid-19 crisis in the UK and globally has continued to develop rapidly.
